Japanese Set
Battle Partners
バトルパートナーズ
Released in English as Journey Together. Battle Partners sold out hard enough in Japan that Creatures Inc. publicly committed to reprints — a rare acknowledgement of demand outstripping supply.

Buying Japanese sealed: what to know
- More packs, lower cost per pack. Japanese boxes usually hold more packs than the English equivalent, and Japanese print runs are larger — so sealed sits closer to MSRP.
- Fewer cards per pack. Japanese packs are smaller than English packs, so a "cheaper box" isn't automatically more cards. Compare cost per card, not cost per pack.
- High Class Packs hit hardest. Japan's High Class format (Shiny Treasure ex, Terastal Festival ex, MEGA Dream ex) packs hits far denser than a standard expansion — which is why those hold value best.
- Japanese cards are not tournament-legal in English events unless the event allows them. Buy Japanese to collect and to pull cheaper, not to build an English-league deck.
- Check sold comps, not asking prices. Japanese sealed pricing swings hard on reprint news — Creatures Inc. announcing a reprint can move a box 30% in a week.

FAQ
What is the English version of Battle Partners?
Battle Partners (SV9) corresponds to the English set Journey Together. The Japanese release date is January 24, 2025.
Are Japanese Battle Partners cards cheaper than English?
Usually yes for sealed product. Japanese print runs are larger and Japanese booster boxes hold more packs per box than English ones, so the cost per pack is typically lower. Individual chase cards can go either way — some Japanese alt-arts trade above their English counterparts.
